Water Damage Restoration · Maricopa County
Where water lingers, mold often follows. It can take hold inside walls, under flooring, and in cabinets within a day or two of moisture exposure. We contain the affected area, remove the growth, and address the moisture source so the problem doesn't come back.

Disturbing mold without containment can spread spores through the rest of the home. We seal off the work area with plastic sheeting and use negative air pressure where appropriate, then remove affected porous materials that can't be cleaned and treat surfaces that can. Keeping the spores confined to the work zone is what protects the rest of the house.
Mold is a symptom of a moisture problem, so removing it without drying the source out is only a temporary fix. We make sure the underlying leak or saturation is resolved and the materials are dried to a safe level before we close anything back up, which is the only reliable way to keep it from regrowing.
Under the right conditions mold can begin growing within 24 to 48 hours, which is why prompt drying after any leak or flood is so important.
Surface cleaning may help on small, non-porous spots, but it doesn't address growth inside walls or under flooring, and it won't fix the moisture causing it. Larger or hidden mold should be contained and removed properly.
